PBC-100
The PBC-100 box-style sediment sampler was designed and developed for sampling silts, mud and other soft sediments of lakes, riverine and lagoon environments. The sampler is constructed from acrylic, pvc, fiberglass and DERLIN. All fasteners and other metalic fittings are stainless steel. By using these types of materials, the PBC-100 sampler is ideal for use in acid rain and heavy metals research projects.

The compact design and extremely light weight (6 kilos without weights) of the PBC-100 sampler facilitates deployment from a rowboat or other small craft. The PBC-100 is deployed by hand and does not require a winch for retrieval, although a battery-powered puller fitted with a capstain head is advantageous. This simple operation makes the PBC-100 an ideal sampler for remote locations.

Each PBC-100 sampler comes complete and ready to use. Two sample boxes, fitted with integral arms and spades are provided for fast and convenient turnaround time when obtaining samples. One set of weights and instructions on how to make additional weights are provided for convenient manufacturing locally. One instruction manual is provided in English, complete with diagrams and photos for easy interpretation.
