The SMC-100 ROV/SUB Remote Arm Sediment Sampler is designed for use where video placement by manipulator arm is specifically required. After placement in the sediment, the manipulator arm is used to trigger the door system of the sampler by rotating the handle half a turn. As the top door closes, the lower door is released and drops to the sediment surface and closes as the corer assembly is withdrawn from the bottom. The four tubes carried by the sampler mechanism reduce the need to obtain replicate samples from the same location, thereby saving valuable bottom time for the vehicle. The sample tubes may be removed from the ROV or Submarine basket in a completely sealed condition for later laboratory analyses. The Remote Arm Sediment Sampler is completely assembled and ready for operation when shipped.

All aluminum parts are hard anodized and sealed. Stainless steel fasteners are used throughout. Shipping weight is 5 kg.
