Our Vibrocorer Model VB-60 is specially designed to recover long, well-preserved core samples from lakes, bays and estuaries. The unit is compact and lightweight and is easily deployed from small watercraft or pontoon floats.

Model VB-60 is constructed entirely of stainless steel and uses a standard PVC core tube measuring 7.5 cm x 180 cm. For deepwater operaton, the use of a buoyant frame, consisting of a series of floatballs and weight stand maintains the corer in a vertical position during penetration and recovery.

Power requirements are minimal and can be provided by a small portable generator found in most hardware stores. A specially designed indicator collar provides a visual check on the depth of sediment penetration of the core tube upon retrieval.
