MC-200-4
The MC-200-4 MiniMulti-Corer is the smallest corer in the MC series and is used in shallow waters of small lakes, bays and estuaries. Model MC-200-4 carries four sample tubes 6.25 cm x 32.5 cm with an effective penetration of 20 cm. The tube length produces an ideal sediment water ration of 60:40

The standard features included in our smallest multi-corer are the same as those into our larger units: a specially designed flow-through sample tube to reduce corer "bow wake" effect, double door sealing feature, double guide slides and special slow-down cylinder for smooth core tube penetration, adjustable penetration limit stops, variable weights and on-deck safety pin.

Each of the four sample tube assemblies may be removed from the corer Spyder assembly in a completely sealed condition for transportation to an on-board laboratory or archived for later analyses. Removal of each sample tube and holder takes less than 30 seconds. Four additional tubes and holders (optional) may be rigged within two minutes and the corer ready to deploy again for new or replicate samples. Complete assembly, from shipping box to ready condition, requires less than twenty minutes.

All aluminum parts are hard anodized and sealed. Stainless steel fasteners are used throughout. Twenty frame weights are supplied as an option with each unit, along with a mold for casting additional lead frame weights.
